I have indulged in collecting A wide variety of choices I am drunk on possibility But I wander into the tavern And tell the barkeeper To pour me yet another option Decision stands waiting Just outside the tavern door A shadow cast through the window I linger longer inside A drinking game has begun I want to see what everyone's having Eventually I must exit And give Decision his due Pouring him a glass of my selection

Often that can be so frustrating

Oh, for sure! Do I need more things in my ‘to watch’ list on Netflix? No. Do I scroll down, looking and adding more instead of picking something from the list? Yes.

Love the personifications of those different choices! Really adds character to a vivid scene π

Now I can picture Regret moping over his beer, Desire in a cocktail dress eyeing new arrivals and Uncertainty flustered with his bar tab. π

Oh, but what if? And then…what if? It’s so hard to make those final decisions. Delightful poem.
