Frost

(July 2013)

I was once outside on a snowy night

Far too late, the sky becoming light

Above the pine trees

The moon shining bright

Held the prisoner of my mind

And the snow, deathly kind,

Among the pine trees

Rendered me blind

Cold invading skin unknown

Frost resting as a crown

Upon the pine trees

And me the gawking clown
